US NAVY P-COAT 1940'S DEAD STOCK(34)

This is a dead stock USNAVY P coat from the 1940s.

This is a model commonly known as 10 button with 10 front buttons.
Made of extremely thick and tightly woven melton wool, it has excellent wind and cold protection.
It is slimmer than the later P coats and can be worn stylishly.

Since it is dead stock, the chin stock at the collar, which tends to be lost, is still intact.
The pocket lining is made of white corduroy, a detail unique to older P coats.
This piece can be called an original P coat, and it is quite rare to find it in dead stock.
